The Company was founded by natural entities in 1989, almost as soon as this was allowed by political and economic changes.
The two majority owners and managers are engineers. Judith Pálffy engineer-economist used to be the director of a state-owned foreign trade enterprise earlier and Tibor Pálffy mechanical engineer used to be the head of a design office.
The company dealt with the handling, main contracting and technical inspection of construction projects. At the time of privatisation, it purchased a 1,300 sq. warehouse, which was refurnished to house the corporate offices and show-room.
1992-2003 Technogen was the exclusive representative in Hungary of the ABITIBI Price, ABT Co. Inc., Louisiana Pacific Group interior design products. The company had a nation-wide network for the distribution of these products and delivers them among others to the department stores of the Praktiker/Metro chains.
1992-2003 Technogen was the exclusive representative in Hungary of the Upper Canada Soap and Candle Makers for natural bath products.
Since 1997, the company has been the owner of the porcelain refinishing master franchise of Kott Koatings Inc., California, USA. This is a process for the in-situ reconditioning of bathtubs and other cast iron, metal and plastic products. The setting up of the network is under way. Technogen itself already carries out reconditioning activities within the area of Budapest. The major references include five-star hotels.
The new activity of Technogen Ltd. provides non slip flooring treatment for surfaces as the Hungarian representative of Nonslide Dienstleitungen am Stein Germany. www.nonslide.de
Since 2006, the company has been supplying tactile stripes in order to facilitate the traffic of the blind and visually impaired as well as disabled persons. These prducts carry the opinion of the Regional Federation of the Blind and Partially Sighted, and they are in conformity with the DIN standards.
